Men’s Fashion Week Has Kicked Off

Men's Fashion Week S/S 2024 is already underway, with presentations already taking place in Paris, Milan, London, Florence, and Milan. As anticipated, there is a mix of well-known brands and up-and-coming talent, as well as city swaps, blockbuster events, and designer debuts.
A key celebrity-packed showcase was Pharrell Williams' debut collection for Louis Vuitton, where the multitalented musician was appointed creative director of menswear earlier this year. However, should not be overshadowed by many new and leading independent designers’ presentations. Here is everything Telos Style is tracking re: #MensFashionWeek S/S 2024, in our ongoing roundtup.
IFM
The Institut Français de la Mode's BA students debuted their catwalk show showcasing their graduating collections to kick off the men's calendar of Paris Fashion Week. The outfits were stunning and touched on a variety of subjects, including pageantry, androids, far-off getaways, and what would seem after a "best before" date. Using everything from wicker and linen to latex and even cigarette filters sewed together to create a fluffy cocoon, the techniques and materials used were as diverse as they come.
ERL
In Florence, Eli Russell Linnetz of the Venice Beach-based label ERL was the other guest designer this season. He presented his most recent collection at the market along with a "special project to portray his crossover vision among fashion, design, and lifestyle" (it also took place on June 15).

4SDesigns
The schedule for Paris Fashion Week, which includes a total of 80 labels with 38 presentations and 42 fashion shows is up from 47 in January. It continues to draw aspiring designers, as seen by the addition of four new names to the schedule of presentations. In addition to Nigerian Adeju Thompson of Lagos Programme, who recently received the Woolmark 2023 Prize, and the French brand C.R.E.O.L.E., other designers with recent awards include New York designer Angelo Urrutia of Salvadorian descent's 4SDesigns, and the Japanese company Bed J.W. Ford, created by stylist Shinpei Yamagishi.
Finally, a number of nights and after-shows will be held during Paris Fashion Week, hosted by Kenzo, Louboutin, Acne Studios, Bluemarbel, and Highsnobiety, which is commemorating the fifth anniversary of its Not in Paris pop-up. And then there are the must-attend social gatherings, such as the opening of the Valentino store on Avenue Montaigne. There will undoubtedly be huge fashion waves coming out of Paris and other fashion capitals in the coming days fabricated by staple fashion houses and independent designers alike.
